Criminal defense: New York city workers allegedly sell phones

Two IT workers for the city of New York have been arrested following a probe into their possibly illegal activities, according to an official statement. The workers, who are employed in separate departments for New York City, are faced with federal fraud and theft charges after it was alleged they resold cellphones meant for city use. No trial date has been announced, but both men will face the charges with criminal defense representation at their side. 

Criminal defense: New York police cadet faces DUI charges

A cadet in the New York Police Department could see his career in law enforcement end before it begins after an accident in the Bronx. New York authorities have charged the young man with DUI after his vehicle struck an ambulance while traveling the wrong way. He is currently suspended without pay, pending a court date, and he will likely seek criminal defense counsel to represent him during the case. 

Criminal defense: New York man charged in alleged sex attack

A man is facing serious charges after an alleged altercation between him and a 7-year-old girl, who authorities believe he sexually assaulted. The 37-year-old New York man is charged with sexual abuse, as well as several associated charges following the alleged attack back in January. The man is likely focused on his criminal defense alongside his legal counsel, and police are urging other potential victims to come forward. 

Criminal defense: Traffic stop leads to drug charges

The Town of Goshen was the site of a traffic stop that led to a drug-related arrest. A 21-year-old man now faces drug charges following the stop, which occurred on Feb. 4 on Route 17. He has since been arraigned and is awaiting trial in a New York county jail. If he is found guilty, he could face a far longer jail stay. He is likely focused on preparing his criminal defense alongside his legal counsel at this time.

Criminal defense: New York student charged with uttering threats

A 21-year-old student has been accused of threatening to shoot up a high school in Rochester, according to court records. The New York woman, who is not a student at the school in question, has pleaded not guilty to the charge of making a terroristic threat online. It is confirmed she has retained criminal defense counsel in advance of an arraignment.
